Hi guys,

next sunday (28th), i will need to travel one way from Warminster to London.
My home station is Mitcham Eastfields (zone 3), I have a zone 1-3 annual travel card and obviously an annual gold card.

currently looking at £30 for a one way ticket home. Any way of getting this cost down?
or i found a ticket for £26 if i want the added time for going via Bath.

any help on getting this cheaper without getting ridiculously complicated would be appreciated.

Warminster isn't in the network area, so your Gold Card is only useful if you split somewhere. As you have a season ticket, you need not worry about where the train stops.

A Warminster-Theale super off-peak single is £10.70.
A Theale-Boundary Zone 3 off-peak day single is £9.50 with a gold card.

This does means travelling via Reading.

If you don't mind being tied to a specific train, there is a £30.50 First Class Advance available on the 10:08 train out of Warminster on Sunday 28th! This would involve changing at Salisbury for the SWT route to Clapham Junction.

Otherwise: Warminster to Salisbury £6.70 CDS plus Salisbury to Clapham Junction £22.50 SDS Gold Card discounted (same price as to BZ3)
Total: £29.20 (yes this is more than the other poster's suggestion above but it may be more convenient in terms of timings!)
