There is another blockade north of Waltham Cross this weekend with buses running from there to Hertford East or Stansted Airport for trains on to Cambridge. There appears to be really poor options for people getting to and from Stansted Airport with just half hourly stopping trains between London and Waltham Cross and then a slow bus service from there calling at all stations to the Airport.
We all know that engineering works need to happen but if you're a tourist who wouldn't necessarily know to check ahead, this is really poor from Greater Anglia and am sure will lead to some missed flights. Sunday is even worse with no trains from Liverpool Street to West Anglia destinations. Journey time from Tottenham Hale to Stansted Airport is around 2.5 hours, surely there could have been non-stop coaches from either Stratford or Tottenham Hale to and from the Airport, something I think has been provided in the past. Absolutely no consideration for passengers and if you are a tourist, this gives a really bad impression of our country's railways.

The official advice on the GA web site is to use the acceptance on Great Northern to travel from King's Cross to Cambridge and then to Stansted from Cambridge.

It's a shame that advice mentions only "the train between Cambridge and Stansted Airport", without being explicit as to whether ticket acceptance is in place on Cross Country. I presume it must be, given the limited GA service between Cambridge and the airport. But the announcement is very clear about ticket acceptance being in place on Great Northern/Thameslink from Kings X, whilst remaining vague about its definition of "the train" for the latter part of the journey.

There are no Cross Country services at Stansted today either, just 3 GA trains an hour between the airport and Cambridge, 1 of which calls at all stations. You're still looking at 2 hours between Kings X and Stansted via Cambridge.
