WAML connections

Does anyone know the reasoning why some connections on Greater Anglia services along the WAML are not advertised or show sub-optimal routings?

Take this example. Why does it not advertise the 12:13 Stansted Express as the connecting service from Bishop's Stortford, instead telling you to wait 34 minutes! It's a seamless, same platform change at Bishop's Stortford that is perfectly doable in 4 minutes.

Northbound routings from Sawbridgeworth towards the airport similarly advertise horribly long connections through Stortford for most of the day, when likewise there are much faster options using Cambridge bound services which are not advertised. Southbounds are much better as Stratford services leave Bishop's Stortford only 5 minutes or so after the Stansted Express calls, and these connections are advertised.

Could this simply be a system oversight in connection times at Bishop's Stortford, or are they for some reason trying to disincentivise these journeys?

In another scenario, why would it advertise here an 8 minute connection at Cambridge and double back further than neccessary when you could simply now change at Cambridge South?1782179206959.png

Bishops Stortford has a five minute minimum connection time when changing trains, which explains why a 4 minute connection time isn't shown, although there's every chance you'd still make it.
