Went on a family holiday type thing with my Mum.

Day 1 - Just a day at Aberystwyth. We went on the clifftop railway.
Day 2 - Cambrian Coast and Ffestiniog Railway
Day 3 - Betws-y-Coed and Llandudno

Some are phone pics (esp day 1), but most are from the 9500.
Oh, and I've been experimenting with the shutter mode on my camera, so most were taken with that rather than auto.

I spent about half an hour trying to get one of those cool flowy waterfall pictures like Craig can do. I failed. Although a couple of them turned out quite cool. I just took way too many pictures of the same thing and couldn't decide on which ones to keep, so even though I deleted loads, there's still quite a few left.

Opinions and such please? Cheers.

A few pictures that I liked:

As I said on MSN, they're getting better. Some of the water ones are alright, but it was probably a bit bright to get the full effect.

Yeah. Obviously the originals look much better, but still not the full effect that I was trying for. Did everything you said though...I think!

Cheers :)

Nice one!

Glad to see Betws in there. Those pics are by the Stone bridge next to the chippy right?

You didn't pop into the Information Centre whilst you were here did you? I haven't been in this week anyway as i've been in Fort William, but just wondered?

Does the 9500 have a screw fitting on the lens for filters? For some of my water shots I use a neutral density filter to reduce the amount of light into the camera which allows a slower shutter speed to be used.

Yes, 58mm. It's currently got one on called "Sky". I imagine it's just a protecty one that came with the camera. *shrugs*

You'd need a tripod, F11, and the longest shutter you can get without it over exposing.

Yeah, that's what I did but they ended up being waaaay too bright. I was using a wall to rest the camera on so I didn't get any shakeness.

Another thing is, if you're expecting to get the exact same quality shots that Craig gets on those kind of shots then you will be disappointed.

To be fair, up until a year or two ago I was using a Fuji bridge camera too.

Of course I'm not. I just wanted help getting the same effect.
