I'm thinking of going on a Wales bus challenge - visiting places in alphabetical order on day trips from Cardiff e.g. Abergavenny, Brecon, Caerleon etc. Thinking ahead I envisage a problem with X and Z. Are there any places starting with X or Z, even if it is just the name of a bus stop?

Is it offensive to say that you might be spoilt for choice when you get to “L”

Perhaps you should be using the Welsh alphabet for this exercise. There is no k, q, v, x, or z, while ch, ff, ll, rh, and th are considered to be letters of their own. (So are dd, ng, and ph, but they never come at the start of a word and so they can be ignored for this exercise.)

Interesting. May be worth a visit - on foot!

Now that's an interesting idea! Thanks.

Not a particularlly large amount of choice really. The letter "LL" is another matter of course.

Note for pedants - The digraph was capitalised for the sake of clarity, I know that it is never written like that.

Dd does, e.g. Dduallt on the Ffestiniog railway.
