Wakefield to Norwich Permitted Route

I have a family member who has come up for Christmas and has a Wakefield Stations to Norwich is it permitted to start short from Sheffield, .

Would be valid to start from Sheffield providing you go Sheffield-Nottingham-Grantham-Peterborough

Indeed, which would in most cases be a direct train from Sheffield to Norwich. (Bear in mind the train when it isn’t already short formed like many are splits at Nottingham so they’d need to be in the front section)


Whilst not mapped, it’s unlikely you’ll find a guard that wouldn’t accept it via Worksop / Retford but this would involve more changes anyway.
