The Arriva site does not have much info about the WAG Express, so I'm wondering:

1) What do you get in first class food-wise from Holyhead to Cardiff?

2) Is £68.40 the cheapest 1st class advance ticket with a railcard?

3) I'm guessing SailRail tickets are valid on this service?

4) Do you get the two course meal on the Wrexham and Shropshire train to Marylebone even with a 1st class advance ticket?

I'm sure these have been answered before but I'm off to bed so haven't got time to search.

TIA.

Food wise, in the morning you get a full Welsh/English breakfast which for me consisted of a piece of toast, two small eggs, mushrooms, two veggie sausages and fried tomato. Obviously this is because I am a vegetarian.

On the way back you get a complimentary 3 course meal, usually with 3 choices for each course and the food was extremely tasty. Teas and coffees were served continuously both ways and soft drinks were also available. I'd highly recommend the service.

If you'd like to read a full review of the evening meal, I'd take a look at Thomas Cairnes' Blog.
