WAG Express through Hereford

Do a cost analysis on how much a minute (if you even save that) it would be if the Hereford area was upgraded just for one train, it is a rediculous proposal, the money would be better spent upgrading the level crossings on the route so no one else is killed. The WAG express is dead in the water as the WAG will eventually come off their high horse and stop funding it.

It wouldn't be for just one train though! I'd look into other stuff too to make it worthwhile for more than just the one a day!

True, they should improve it, stop ridiculous subsidies and divert the money to infrastructure improvements.

I don't agree with you train planner. The Absolute block on the whole serves the traffic requirments of the line and is cheap to run. There are plenty of spare overnight freight paths. I agree it can get a bit busy on the up line mid morning especially with the Abergavenny to Pontrilas block section (which is having an IB fitted next year) but on the whole we don't get alot of problems with capacity or with regular faults of the equipment itself. Little Mill and the TCB section to Maindee was meant to go with the Newport resig but I think it has been put on hold for the forseeable. Abergavenny was going to fringe with the SWCC but not actually close.

Marsh Brook can't currently go due to the visibility of the Level Crossing, it will need a bridge or tunnel. As for AB.I tend to agree with the planner here as some of the block sections ar long and it does cause delay if a service is running late.
