Having a bad trot of weather at the moment, and any bright spots have been coinciding with work. Still, a lunchtime finish and some milky sun was most welcome as 2 Colas 47s were moving 2 rakes of Fastline coal wagons to Gloucester for storage.

Somehow made it to Washwood Heath in time for 6E41, powered by 60051 - http://www.ferret.fotopic.net/p64043466.html

47727 brought the first lot of wagons from Chaddesden - http://www.ferret.fotopic.net/p64043467.html

After that, I launched off towards Tamworth but it was raining in the area so contemplated Kingsbury Brickworks - sun surprisingly was straight down the track here so in desperation I went to Castle Bromwich. Would have been nice if it had run early and via Lea Marston rather than going via Whitacre (which in fairness it was booked to do, but the next 170 was over 10 minutes behind) as the sun was fully out at one point. Did two shots here - the zoomed version which I think I prefer - http://www.ferret.fotopic.net/p64043468.html

And the wider view but with the sun having dipped a tad - http://www.ferret.fotopic.net/p64043469.html

Finally, DBS were moving some locos to Warrington, and 59205 was providing the power. In the consist were a 90, 2 92s and a shed - frustratingly missing the sun by about 30 seconds, we got this shot - http://www.ferret.fotopic.net/p64043470.html
