VTWC Advance Fare increase 01 APR?

I was looking on my usual route, which is Workington to Glasgow Central. Previously, the cheapest First Class ticket was £26.50, after 1st April, I can't find anything less than £30.50.

So it seems there was a fare increase?

I know that Advance Fares are unregulated.

Perhaps I missed the coverage on this. I did try searching the forum.

It's just a different tier. Quota for each tier can be adjusted and amended from day to day.

I checked so many random dates after 01 APR as far as ticket sales are open and I don’t find a single Adv 1st fare for less than £30.

So essentially the lower price bucket is not for sale anymore.

It is possible. They may only make one ticket available on one train, or not at all.

I contacted VTWC and there was indeed a fault with loaded fares. It has been fixed.
