At Peterborough A VTEC service just rolled a couple of inches from platform 4 with doors still open. A loud hissing noise just before it rolled.

When this happens every so often on HSTs it's benn found it's when the driver doesn't apply the brake but holds the train in notch 1

A train moving with the doors open is a pretty serious safety incident, train crew are required to report it anyway. I'm sure the relevant people at VTEC are already aware.

I'd be far more concerned if he didn't get a meeting. This was not an event which happened in the privacy or an office or a cab, this was a public train rolling with the doors open. If there's a foul, call a foul.

Agreed, however, I don't see why there's any need to go into finite detail as to which train was involved.

I'm sure VTEC are well aware of this incident with or without details being posted on the Forum. As such there does not appear to be anything to particularly discuss as there is no ongoing disruption at Peterborough that is having a knock on impact on services.
