Has anyone who applied for this role heard anything from VTEC? Does anyone know what the assessments consist of or what they are specifically looking for ? Any info on routes out of St Pancras or any info at all on the company would be most welcome. Is it as good a place to work as people say it is? Many thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Ive been working for VTEC since March and so far I'm really enjoying it.
After fourteen years working freight it is like a breath of fresh air. I no longer look like a "freight tramp" whilst at work, the cabs are pretty clean (in comparison to DB class 66 cabs) and I enjoy going to work which for the past couple of years wasn't there anymore.
Like every TOC you will have blokes who arn't happy unless they are moaning but it is what you make of it. Money wise its pretty good.
As for the assessments for VTEC it wasn't like anything I and I think the rest of the DB drivers who turned up on the day were expecting, nothing hard.
After years of bimbling along at 60mph driving at 125mph is a buzz!

I've been given an assessment date but no details as far so I'd be very interested to know what to expect on the day

Thanks for that response it sounds good, like you say there is always moaners but I try to avoid those types of people as they tend to put a dampener on your day. Have you got any advise on the interview or assessment day? That would be really appreciated. Thanks.
