If I was to travel midweek early morning from Crewe to Carlisle and return late afternoon, would I get meals in first on Virgin trains?

If so-what?

If not, what is the offer?

Similar question. I'm travelling first class from Euston to Glasgow on the 13.43 in February, arriving 19.23. It goes via Birmingham so takes an extra hour but was the cheapest service when I booked - £51 first class. Others cost £75.50 .

Does anyone know what food I can expect, especially after 5pm ?

Ooo thanks for the tip off - think I'm going to do that journey for fun of it sometime - good value for nearly 6 hours in 1st class when you consider the cheapest Manc-London tickets at £38 single are usually just over 2 hours!
