Was out Friday, I flagged it, 90029 on it then. Looks like it was out today by the timings.

I saw it today on the 15:43 from Euston heading for Birmingham. The driver told me it should still be out for at least another month or so. Today it was 90029 and 82101 on the train.

I believe it is to carry on longer than initially intended, to at least mid-July.

For those interested, the Virgin 'Pendolino' liveried stock is being unveiled and previewed to guests this Wednesday at Wabtec. As far as I'm aware, it's not far from completion, and should be in service by August.

I'm not aware of a Class 90 operating a Virgin service to Glasgow since about 2005 (?) sadly.

You never know it may happen in the near or distant future considering the refurbishment of the set and it's more permanent status as of late.

Yes, it's very nice indeed. Also, in a sense it's a 'improvement' on a Pendolino, as even every 2 airline seats have a plug point, unlike only two per table on 390s.

I'm personally very glad they've kept the IC70 seats, however, it was a necessity with the relatively tight budget.

They did a very good job considering, it's very nice, much better than what was done to thee ex virgin MK3's by National Express East Anglia, where they just changed the rags and colours and that was it.

...as is the fact that the LHCS set can only do 110mph, and therefore can only go on Brum/Wolves diagrams without causing delays.
