Voyagers through Fareham- huh?

Is it standard for XC Voyagers going through Fareham- to portsmouth perhaps or Brighton?

XC don't serve Portsmouth or Brighton in regular service. That's not to say they wont pass there on ECS/Excursion movements though.

Yes it's normal, it's how the unit that forms the Guildford service gets there from Eastleigh.

Also sometimes happens during engineering works on the SWML (as happened this week) that they are diverted via Guildford and Havant to Southampton.

CrossCountry were on diversion today due to Winchester to Basingstoke being closed and Andover to Basingstoke being closed until mid afternoon for engineering works.
