To my great surprise, I discovered newly introduced Vossioh 4034 stabled in a grain-silo siding near to the little town of Fleurance in South-west France. The locomotive was delivered to Europorte on the 18th September and is probably undergoing trials. The locomotive was ahead of, but not coupled to bulk grain hoppers.
Fleurance is on the little used, freight only line between Auch and Agen. Recently all the level-crossings have been improved so there might be the prospect of a return to the once heavy grain-traffic. The line lost it's passenger service in 1970. As far as I remember, the sidings at Fleurance have not been used for some time.
