I have an annual season ticket (A Gold Card because I am in the South East of England (which for some reason means I am entitled to more than the rest of the country)) but there are a few things which confuse me about void days and compensation.
Am I correct in thinking that void days will be added onto my new season ticket when I renew it next year. Due to the snow at the start of the year and if the rescheduled strikes go ahead later in the year, there should be a few. My season ticket is an 'All Routes' one which involved two operators, who sets the number of void days I will receive and what set of performance levels counts for my journey?
Also is there anywhere I can find out the number of void days for a specific time period, the performance stats seem to only give the last month number and the total for the last 12 months.

TOC's normally release performance information monthly so you should check that when it's due for your season to be renewed.

As the bit for the year is the Moving Annual Average, it will reflect the service you have received during your annual season.

Yes. Or you can opt to have the refund paid out in cash. (Assuming the TOC in question hasn't switched to "Delay Repay", where you'd need to claim for individual journeys).

Without knowing the journey the season ticket is for, it's impossible to say. In general, however, it'll depend which TOC prices the season as to which rules apply.

Also is there anywhere I can find out the number of void days for a specific time period, the performance stats seem to only give the last month number and the total for the last 12 months.

TOCs SHOULD display a poster at their "main" stations (the definition of which depends on their franchise agreement) detailing punctuality and reliability figures for the previous four week period, the moving annual average, and any void days accrued in the last period.

Alternatively, ask at a convenient staffed Ticket Office, and they should be able to tell you.

Failing that, the results for each period always used to be published on the ATOC website, but it's had a makeover recently, rendering it as unusable as the National Rail site...Not helped by having several links to files on the staging server instead of the production one!

Cheers,

Barry
