To the south of the depot area is Toton South Junction. This is not far from Asda and there are a number of car parks(including Asda's obviously intended for customers) in this area. If you follow the pathway northwards from Asda, keeping to the right hand pathway you will reach a pedestrian footbridge which spans the junction.Good views of the junction area from here.
Follow the footpath from the bridge with the old wagon works to your left and head towards the famous "Toton Bank". There are a couple of footpaths leading up the bank (be warned that the paths that run along the bank get muddy when wet(especially when the weekend horse riders have had their fun !).The top of the bank offers excellent views of the depot and North,Old and New Bank Yards. Binoculars will be required for those items towards the back of the depot or for anything else if your eyesight's not too good !.
You can, after leaving northwards from Asda veer left and follow a pathway which runs parallel to the North Yard, although not alot can be viewed nowadays due to the virtual quarry.
If your coming from the Sandiacre (north) end, parking is more restricted and you will need to head down Bessell Lane to get to the Bank. You can park in some of the side roads.
