All very pretty eh?, but it'll never happen in this country, so I hope they get plenty of orders from abroad.
Where all these, so called 15-20000/hour passengers, that will want to travel from Euston to Birmingham. Surely we will be conducting business in a completely different way in 15+years.
Aunty Bessy, Granny, the awayday family and all the students will stick to the old route and investment in this lot will completely destroy any public transport investment for years to come...viz Crossrail (£16 billion). Even the Javelins haven't exactly caught the imagination, ara more expensive and go to the wrong part of London. HS to Birmingham will suffer the same fate, I fear.
