Booked 3 single tickets online from Glasgow to London for last Friday 19th departing 13 40. VWC says it gives third off discount when 3 or more travel together. Only 1 (with a railcard) got the third off. Should the other 2 have got the discount or is it train or time dependent?

Also, railcard discount is not eligible, so if the Railcard was used that person doesn't count towards the 3. Also the discount is only 20%, not a third.

Telling "online" that you had one railcard would have automatically taken you out the running for the group discount (as only 2 non railcard tickets were purchased) as you asked for the railcard discount to be applied.

Most websites I know of have Groupsave as an option in the list of railcards

This is not GroupSave, it is a VTWC specific scheme applicable only to Advance tickets.
GroupSave is not valid on VTWC.
