Hi folks,

A friend of mine will be travelling from Birmingham International to London Euston on a Saturday in a couple of weeks time. What he would like to know is can he upgrade a Standard Class Priv Single to 1st class using the Weekend First Upgrade for £15.

Thanks in advance,

The Wanderer.

On Virgin you should be fine, but just so you know on XC, it must be a Standard Open Return ticket (i.e. not Advanced or Priv) to be upgraded - you cannot upgrade on Priv or Advance tickets. I think that on EC and FGW any tickets can be upgraded too - I've done it on Priv on EC for sure.
