Virgin Weekend First price increase

Slight bump to this thread...

I notice the upgrades are being sold online (on the Virgin website) at the new prices, however, the Virgin Trains website itself currently advertises them at the old prices.

The prices have now gone up. I am currently travelling from Euston to Oxenholme ( off-peak return to Windermere) and was charged £30 for the upgrade. Still much better than the £99 1st advance single which was the lowest fare when I looked several weeks ago!

This time I don’t mind the extra as due to engineering works the pendolino is diverted via Manchester and Bolton so the journey is longer than normal.
Unfortunately the kitchen has no hot water available so sandwich and cold water only in 1st or walk to coach c to get a free tea/coffee from the shop.
