Virgin trains CSA Wolverhampton yesterday

I was in the morning group, passed the Tdct, we then had a group exercise, which I thoughtoI contributed well to, 4 of the 8 were sent home, and the last 4 including myself were interviewed however Im up against a Virgin employee, an ex London Midland man, and a well turned out lady, I'm a bit rough round the edges but I get the job done, the they were doing the same process in the afternoon, so it's looking like any 2 from 8 for the 2 jobs.

I got this far with LM recently but didn't get the job, but I must be doing something right to get through assessment, group culling and to interview stage... Fingers crossed this time

Is this for the post that had a closing date of 02.07.13? If so looks like my application was turned down but still not got an email and virgin website still says that my application was recently submitted.....

Closing date was 26/7/2013, it's a 6 month fixed contract, nonetheless I'm happy to be offered the post.

Platforms. Im so happy,I left a good job in retail, to care for my wife who was ill, she's now well and ready to work, so now I am too.. I could have probably got a job back where I worked, but decided to try the railways, 4 failed attempts with LM and one with VT. My wife and kids are so happy and proud, just gotta make sure I do the business now.

Congatulations again, they're a good bunch working the platforms at Wolves, you'll enjoy it! Just be prepared to wrap up warm in Winter I'l respond to your question about fixed terms in the other thread you've opened up.

Once you've tasted life on the Railway, you'll realise that there is no such thing as a "good job in retail"!!

You've made the right move, and you should have the skill set to do well. Good luck!
