Parts 1 and 2 I managed to do well enough but the third part where you had to do parts 1 and 2 at the same time but prioritize part 1 over 2 completely took me by suprise when multiple blue dots appeared on the track at the same time. I was not expecting it and even though I noticed it each time I ignored them until much later when I stopped thinking it was normal. It's a shame as the rest of the test was going smoothly. I know the test mentioned that there may be other errors but since it didn't directly mention what I would need to look out for my autistic brain got overwhelmed and ignored it as something other than an error.

Anyone else experience difficulties?

I think I had an over enthusiastic finger click at one point. I feel I did better than I thought I would.

I agree. The third part was a tester, multiple dots, half shaped dots suddenly appeared. I had a moment where I had to take a deep breath. We should find out this week. I think it’s the actual stage 1/2 tests next at OPC.

Sat the same one the other day but not for Virgin. I only noticed the semi circles appearing in the third test. If they appeared in the first one then I've definitely made a hash of it!!!

This is what I failed on with arriva. I passed the first two parts great and dipped the third. It is a beast. I think I could do much better if I ever get a second go.

At least with a second go you would know what to expect as well. :)

Alright passed the VSE test but failed (MSJ7) test. Am i mistaken in that as long as you logged in to start the test before 5pm all was okay? I finished the Situational test 10 mins after 5pm.

Just had email from OPC, passed online tests and moving onto actual Train Driver Stage 1 tests at their Academy in Crewe on 27th March. For me I have to re-take the very last test Tea-Occ (beeps And telephone directory) as haven’t passed that one to their standard. Anyone else?

Hi Teddyward, can you tell me about the VsE with arriva. Got a test coming up soon so trying to find out some more on it.

I don’t want to say too much in case I explain it in a way that doesn’t come across as you experience it on the day. The simplest way I can describe is you have to watch a dot go round in a circle and click when it makes an error. Then you get two columns of shapes and have to check for errors. They’re both quite simple. Then do both at the same time. That’s the bit my brain left the building on. Also I suppose there is an outside chance each toc may have it set up slightly different as it was billed as “bespoke”. Yours may be totally different or might be the same.

Thanks teddyward, did you have the mmi interview on the same day?

If so can you tell me anything about that?

Is anyone able to confirm if this is exactly how the first part of the VSE looks?
simply following the colours around until it skips a stop??? Thanks

That’s pretty much the jist of it except the one I did was circles instead of triangles. The next part is 2 columns of shapes that are jumbled and seeing if they have differences or not. The tricky part is part 3. Doing both at same time.
