A friend of mine has an upcoming assessment for the role of train guard with Virgin East Coast. Does anyone know what's involved in this please? :D

It depends on the stage of the process and I've not personally been through it with VTEC.

At a minimum, you'll do a SCAAT test, with possible additional assessments to check your comprehension and numeracy. You may also have to do a competency based interview. More information on all these can be found on the forum.
