Virgin Train - 09:09 Crewe to Glasgow

I am contemplating a trip to Glasgow later this month and I would normally catch the 09:09 out of Crewe. On my most recent trip - a few months ago - it was a 5 car Voyager set and very full.

Can anybody tell me if it still run as a Voyager these days or is it likely to be a Pendolino - and how many cars? If it's still a Voyager I'll probably go somewhere else!

The 09:09 from Crewe is a service to Edinburgh,which is timed for a pendolino (eg tomorrow's service: http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/Y81861/2014/05/09/advanced)

The good news is that under the new timetable, it is a Pendo. The bad news is that it is frequently delayed, to the point that I no longer use it.

Incidentally, be careful about relying on RTT for traction info, as some 390-timed diagrams are worked by Voyagers (for example, 1S34 is supposed to be worked by a Pendo but has been a Voyager on the last two occasions I have used it).

I'm pleased to say that it hasn't been late for me before, but am I right in saying that this service used to originate from New Street when it was a Voyager, and then became a Euston to Scotland service via New Street when it also became a Pendolino?

If that is the case then it would have had less chance of suffering delays I guess.
