Virgin on board manager

Used the search function and can't find much about the role.

Anyone out there able to clarify what the role entails, and any tips for applying, assessments and interview would be great.

On Board Managers (OBM's) are the managers at a depot responsible for Train Managers (Guards) and Catering staff. When I was on the catering side of Virgin, there were 4 or 5 OBM's at my depot who between them managed about 200 catering staff and 50 TM's.

I believe they are qualified as TM's (I know my own OBM had to take the TM course when he got the job as his background was office based), but they are efffectively the TM's bosses. Their pay is a few grand more than the TM's as well, but the role is predominately office based.
