But i've a feeling that i spotted these tickets being shown as valid on the blockade 221's, on the VT website..... :???:

Although IIRC they aren't after all marked "JUST CHILTERN RAILWAYS" are they? (I could be wrong there)

They are marked route: High Wycombe so are not operator specific. NRES does come up with a CDR from Euston to Birmingham New Street/International via High Wycombe but it is around the same price as the normal Euston - Birmingham Int/New Street Saver.
The super off peaks are restricted to any train leaving Marylebone after 11:00 and returning after 13:00. I'd doubt that they are valid.

I am impressed by some of th planning Virgin are putting into these plans - note the following from Chris Gibb (MD of Virgin West Coast) in the latest Modern Railways:

[Blockade runner] will require a large number of empty stock movements on Friday and Sunday evenings as the fleet is put in place [Pendo's to Scotland, Voyagers to midlands and London]......On some Sundays empty Voyagers will have to run back to Scotland via the ECML to be there for Monday morning, because the WCML north of Preston and the Settle-Carlisle are both closed.

On my way home from Tyseley last Saturday I decided to hop into Moor Street, change to New Street and up to International to catch the 15:15 (I think) from there to Euston. Just after we passed Princes Risborough our Unit came to an emergency halt sat there for an hour till the Driver found out the problem. We had a Tilt system failure (even though it wasn't using the tilt) and we had to crawl at 40mph all the way to Euston...... not impressed, but the staff were courtious and informed the passengers on what was happening.

Karl :)
