If that's the case, I agree with you Yorkie. and I take what you say at face value. The other reason for becoming a 'jobsworth' is power. And there are too many people that seek jobs for a power trip, rather than serving the people that are suppose to and/or working as a team to solve problems. Especially management whose aim to to support staff and motivate them to do a better job, rather than look for fault to persecute people. This is of course not unique to the railways, indeed seems to be a common problem and I dare say a fault of the education system and class system in this country.
