This week's selection (at least until tomorrow, thank goodness) are vile. Crayfish or Cheese and Beetroot. Someone is being far too creative recently and should keep it simple like I've noticed on EC recently. As with EC, an introduction of at least one hot option on Light Bites would be nice - even something as simple as soup which they had a few years back.

That said, EC did turn out onion bhaji sandwiches a couple of months ago, which are a bit of a minority interest I would have thought (I liked them though!).

Depends on the supplier but I had a BLT on Monday. They don't publish the selection without emailing them.

From the Voyager menu posted above; "outdoor reared back bacon". I always thought bacon was meat from pigs; I didn't know they'd developed a way of rearing it independantly. It's 'outdoor reared' so I presume it lives in fields? I am trying to picture a (whats the collective noun for bacon? - herd?) ...OK, a herd of bacon in a field.

Wonder what it eats?

i got a chicken sandwich with 2 rounds of coffee a soft drink, crisps, a mini bag of pretzels and a piece of fruit for a 1hr 25 min journey brham to london was an excellent service

Collective noun for pig is drove, or drift.

Pigs do indeed live in fields, with stys for the night time. They eat grass and straw.

Most of the time yes and you can buy better quality. However the big push for me is a quiet "office" which is something you can never get in standard so is easily worth the difference in price.

Especially on East Coast stopping/Leeds services. The shortish distance between stops (meaning more local traffic) and highish proportion of cheap advance fares (meaning, in the nicest possible way, rowdy people who might otherwise take the coach) makes STD extremely unpleasant.

On Virgin I rarely experience such levels of annoyance from other passengers. Though I was on the 1647 from MKC on Friday (1515 ex-MAN) and was sat next to the Man Utd junior academy.

Does anyone know what the catering facilities on the pretendolino are like? I was on the 1843 out of Euston on Friday, which is advertised on the timetable as serving the "Evening Meal", but we were only offered a cold sandwich.

There is no "breakfast" at weekends. Just the standard tea/coffee/coke/water and biscuits/crisps.
