Little report on a recent trip.
Last tuesday i took the 1840 from Preston to Glasgow in First Class . The service was very quiet , i swapped by backwards single seat for a empty bay of four ! Dont fancy a stranger opposite on the bays of 2 .
To be honest from a previous experience on this section where nothing was offered , i was hoping for something as a hot meal was advertised .
A lady offered me drinks , very rushed , she was away by the time i said thanks .Then a guy took my order for food , i asked whats available as i was not sure what menu was running and he quite bluntly said ' well its on the menu '
I opted for beef stew . Was quite small so thankfully i had ate earlier. Tasted decent enough though.
Cheeecake followed for desert , nice but a bit rich.
The crew redeemed themselves by offering drinks after Carlisle , bit cold the crews , maybe its going up and down to Preston that does that or im a quiet looking guy !
