Is anybody able to tell me how a weekend 1st upgrade is issued on VTEC, i.e. what does the ticket look like, what is printed on it? If I look at fares from say York to Darlington there is a TPE weekend first at £6 (ticket type WET) and CrossCountry weekend first at £5 (ticket type XCU) but nothing for East Coast. Is it perhaps still done the "proper" way, using an old-style supplement ticket?

A 1st class single from YORK to "ONTRN WKND 1ST A" route "VTEC ONLY". Maybe that's the answer - is it not possible to buy this in advance?
