Hi all
I recently applied for a csa on board position based at Leeds.
I attended the assessment event and received an email the day after saying my details have been forwarded to local line managers and I was now in their candidate pool could anyone please advise me on what the time frame for being in the pool is and how this works, I would be very grateful to hear from anyone who has been in same position
Thanks

Hi

This too has happened to me. I sent an email to recruitment last week asking when I may expect to hear anything and how long I may have to wait. I have had no reply. It's just my current job I have to give a months notice and would like to know something. Please let me know if you hear anything. Thank you

Hi railpem
I too have emailed and had no reply, I don't want to come across as pushy but I'm in same position like yourself with current job, I've never come across recruitment like this and didn't realise there was a candidate pool from what I can gather on other posts it's all about point scoring depending on how many points you scored in the assessments, if someone scored more they will be offered a position first. Be nice to know what the score was and is there definite employment I don't mind waiting asking as the result is good at the end of it.
I will be in touch if I hear anything good luck hope you hear soon . When did you go to assessment event?

Hi Meg,

Just wanted a reply to put me at ease and wish they had explained more about the candidate pool. I will keep you updated if I hear anything.

I have exact the same situation. I have been successfully placed in candidate pool after attending the assessment day few months ago. I have been told by email in April, that line manager will be in touch with me as soon as possible...and now there we have July and absolutely nothing happen. They did not reply to my email, which I have sent 2 weeks ago.. I am starting loosing my hope, that this job will ever happen....

Hi Meg,

Yes I received that email too. I feel a bit more relaxed about it all now and am hoping we hear something before September. Just want to start now

Hi guys,
I also got the same reply, not a lot of clear facts and information included in the email, but as you said I feel a bit better too

Hello, Where did you find out about Vigin East Coast vacancies, I have looked on their website but couldn't find anything? Is there a email alert to jobs?
Thanks.

Hi
It's a temp position with 6 months probation the line manager reassured me that in her whole time there it is occasional that a permanent position would not be offered after the probation period.
I saw the job on a recruiting website but if you go on virgin east Coast careers you can register for email alerts as roles become available .
Hope you hear soon

Thanks Meg, I'll hopefully be where you are in a few months :) wonder what the medical entails. So many new experiences already in this job, the video interview, medical etc :) never done anything like that before :)

Don't worry, I'm sure you will be fine, seems to be pretty straight forward, I think they just want to be aware and you to be honest with them what medication you have prescribed. I'm sure you are gonna be OK ??????

Sounds fairly straight forward :) Good luck, I thought they'd test for that and blood pressure etc / health.. Think most work places will follow this protocol soon :) I'm hoping to be based in Edinburgh btw :D Keep us posted :)

That's great news Meg. I have not heard anything yet but will keep hanging in there. When they rang you was it a Leeds number or an unknown number? cos I never answer those!!! How did your medical go? Wish we could've started together. Good luck anyway
