Sounds rather juicy, a pair of large logo blue 37s to Bournemouth Air Show in August! And all for a good cause as well.

FOLLOWING last year’s successful collaboration between Virgin Trains, Direct Rail Services and The Railway Magazine running a charter train that raised £20,000 for the Royal British Legion, a second train is being planned to for August 22 that will visit the Bournemouth air show.
Not surprisingly called ‘The Bournemouth Flyer’, like last October’s train, it will be hauled by a pair of English Electric Class 37s, one being the privately-owned No. 37025 based at the SRPS Bo’ness, which is on the verge of main line certification. The second is planned to be No. 37401 raising the prospect of two BR large logo English Electric Type 3 locos working together on the main line for the first time in many years. A Class 57 will be at the rear of the train to provide on-board power for air con and lighting. (All locos subject to availability)
