I'm not too au fait with Advance Tickets, so hoping someone can help me with a question related to Virgin:
I'm trying to purchase an Advance single from Preston to Euston on 3 May 2010 but there are no advance tickets available at present. There are advance fares on the Friday prior and Tuesday after.

mentions Virgin are selling weekday advance fares til 5 May and weekend ones to 24/25 April and says below that "Reservations are not open on Virgin Trains services on Monday 3 May"
Does that mean there will be no advance fares for 3 May? I tried ringing their call centre but got told that they couldn't see any and to try again in March (they didn't know when/if they'd come on sale).
From a quick internet search it seems they've not sold advances on bank holidays in previous years when there's been engineering works, but I can't see anything scheduled for that date on their website.
Any info appreciated, thanks.
