Vintage Tours,Who's experienced them?

Ive booked the Vintage Tours trip on 30th Aug to Dartmouth with 47773.
They've yet to advise a departure time and they don't post times on there website and not received a ticket yet!! Cheque cashed though.
They cancelled and refunded me the 16th August trip which should of went to Eastbourne.

Anyone had experience with them ? or booked on the Tour?
Apprantely it's in top/tail mode with another 47,so presume WCRC.

I have been on a few of their steam tours which have been good. However they don't tend to put departure times or estimated departures times on the website. You should get the tickets about a week or so before the tour. Regarding traction it's likely to be another WCRC loco.

Rick will tell you, theres nothing wrong with them, obviously compared to a tractor they are crap but i would rather have one to a Duff, Western or Grid.

No, I just hate them with a passion, personal opinion at the end of the day, same would go for 31's and 60's I just didn't put them in my example.

To get back on topic, I did a Vintage Trains steam dinex last Christmas, the train was well run (and the 4-course Xmas lunch very good too!) although the start point and destination changed around a week before the date of running.

One thing I will be critical of is their lack of estimated timings on their website when the tours are advertised - although when I rang up to book, the lady on the phone did tell me what they were expecting it to be roughly. No idea why they can't do like other operators and stick them up as a guide!

i looked into the timings issue on there website and they state only booked passengers will be informed of timings,strange really.
They have another part stating they like people to submit photos of the Loco's that are captured on tour.
Difficult to do if they dont disclose publicly the approx timings.

Anyhow i'm hoping for a good day on the 30th and will advise how it all went.

Times usually appear on either uksteam or railtourinfo websites
