I've actually just shared this link in response to a question in another thread, but thought I should share it more publicly.
It's a blog by an Austrian guy who travelled by rail from Vienna to Pyongyang in North Korea via the Trans-Siberian express .... a route which VERY few tourists dare or are allowed to do.
It a fantastic read (and very long indeed), with lots of detail and photo's throughout. It gives a great insight into what goes on in North Korea, both for the general public and also their railways.
