Folks, some advice please.

2 pax, 1 normal, other non safeguarded priv.

I can do Battersea Park to Luton Airport PW on the priv fine and then the new tram or whatever it is separately but if my normal friend touches in Victoria and out Luton Airport (after the tram) will the same touch work for the entire trip ? And also if we stop at St Pancras for brekkie on contactless and tap out will it end up being more expensive for them ?

Just a small correction: they will need to touch out at Luton Airport Parkway, and then back in for the Luton Airport DART. It's impossible to not do this, really. The entire journey can be done on contactless fine, however.

More expensive in the sense that if you spend too long between tapping out of the Tube (presumably they'll use the tube to get from Victoria to St Pancras) and tapping back in at St Pancras, they'll be charged for a Z1 tube journey and the National Rail fare from St. P to Luton Airport PW, yes.

You have 30 mins between tapping out from the tube and tapping back in on the Thameslink or EMR gatelines, so if you're just stopping to grab something to go, you should have time for that.

Thank you. I thought there might be a "through" contactless including the tram thing. Thanks for the advice on the time delay at STP too.

Actually it won't cost more. Where travel extends beyond zone 6 the addon for using the tube becomes the same as a zone 1 tube single.
