Very Curious RTT Entry 30.09.25

This has caught my eye for tomorrow - described as pathed as a High Speed Train at 125mph, from Woking via North Downs line to Redhill, Tonbridge and on down through Kent to Ashford and reverse back round to Woking via Maidstone and Clapham Junction. Is the timing an error, I wonder, as I don't see many opportunities to do that speed!

I'd imagine that's the NMT. It's a HST, and it's allowed to run at up to 125mph so that's the correct timing load.

EDIT: Just checked the Service Code and that maps to the Video Inspection Unit.

So either they've got the wrong TSC (always possible) or somebody's copied a path and not double-checked all of the data because 1Zxx is usually used for test trains when transiting (not recording).

Might encounter some clearance issues if it was a HST - timing load does not equal allocated traction

Very true on both points! However test trains other than the NMT would usually be timed as something else to reflect the fact they don't have a HST's performance or top speed.

It says it's a STP path but doesn't have the 'set up by' bit so not sure quite what's gone on there. If it is VSTP that does go some way to explain the odd timing load.

Just to clarify, this working is a driver training run for Colas IM traincrew using PLPR-2
which would normally be stabled at Woking all day on a Tuesday.

RTT has never shown publication date, because it is a little ambiguous due to how CIF works.
