Vending Machines on Trains

The Cambrian Coast Express used to have a coach fitted with a vending machine that ran between Aberystwyth and Shrewsbury and return in the early sixties.

SK W25189 had one of the compartments adjacent to the centre door fitted with vending machines in early 1962. It appears to have been the only catering facility west of Shrewsbury. (Source: Keith Parkin’s HMRS book on Mark 1 coaches.)
