Annual season, York to Leeds, any permitted.

Obviously valid at all intermediates on both the main line and via Harrogate

Question is, is it also valid via Selby, including boarding and alighting at South Milford and or sherburn in Elmet?

My gut feeling is yes, but I'd like some confirmation either way if someone has the knowledge.

The mapped routes are XY, YM + HM.

The combination of the latter maps a route from York to Selby and Selby to Leeds via Sherburn in Elmet/South Milford, which are on that line.

So superficially, yes. Assuming you can find services which go that way (I don't know)

(Subject to fares check and Easements; I haven't checked those)

You can validate this yourself: https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/travel-information/routeing-guide/

Yes, valid via map combination YM+HM as @crablab says.

I can't see any easement which would rule it out and journey planners are happy to offer through fares that way.

There are decent connections at Selby most hours, making it only slightly slower than the direct train via Harrogate.
