Hi does anyone know the validity of the new driver tests....I passed stage 1 and stage 2 in jan 2014 the toc I applied to have put me on a list now so ive decieded to apply for other tocs with trainee driver vacancies and im jus wondering how long these new tests are valide for....cheers for any info...

I take it that altho valid for 5 yrs a toc can still make you take the test again if there was quite a bit of substantial time between passing the tests and applying for a trainee driver position...

Not to my understanding. But they can make you sit tests that may have not been sat during the previous assessment. For instance they may choose fault finding, mechanical or RVCE. Which is verbal communication. Bit like trp 2 but more in depth. It's about taking in relevant information, etc
