What would a valid route be between the above stations. Would one via be STP-KGX?

Nottingham-Inverness has 70 routes defined in the routeing guide, I may not have captured all of them!@jfollows. That's a lot of possible routes! Mansfield to Inverness via Worksop/Retford/York/Edinburgh/Perth perhaps the most straightforward option? Unless the OP wants a scenic alternative!
One of the long scenic alternatives could even be the quickest option!@jfollows. That's a lot of possible routes! Mansfield to Inverness via Worksop/Retford/York/Edinburgh/Perth perhaps the most straightforward option? Unless the OP wants a scenic alternative!
It was, after all, called Alfreton and Mansfield Parkway when it reopened (though I imagine they were thinking of London traffic!).I’ve just recently done a trip up to Dundee and the journey times were appalling via Worksop and I decided to get the bus to Alfreton Station and travel from there.
Just take in the sights or find a nice pub in Retford. One of the long scenic alternatives could even be the quickest option!
Changing at Worksop and Retford was almost always the best way and usually my choice until the recent new ECML timetable. Now the connection at Retford into the 2 hourly LNER train to York is just missed by a few minutes often resulting in a wait of almost an hour for the next train north. That’s even more irritating having already had a wait of around 35 minutes at Worksop. You can easily find yourself still sitting on the platform at Retford over 2 hours after leaving Mansfield. There can be similar long waits on the return journey.
Map combinations...Is there a route via the Settle and Carlisle, as i have never been on that?
