Fantastic toot on the horn, but why did it have them Large numbers for? Also can't believe it's really came to an end for one TOC

Because HSTs started out with those numbers. I don't see all this fuss over the Valenta farewell, I guess it must be a sad occasion for people in the south-west but Grand Central are keeping Valentas and some are still with MML.

Also GNER/NatEx EC, i'll probably definatly do the NatEx EC Valenta farewell (if they have 2 left like FGW), anyone know how long it will be until this? as there's a fair few left with them yet.

It was an excelent touch to have 253001, shame the driving for much of it didn't reflect the occasion.

1005 from Tiverton was fairly poor. 1356 from Exeter was poor, Tiverton was excellent with lots of wheelslip :D

Taunton wasn't bad - I shall upload a video later.

Nope, the 1505 Pad - Exd was formed of 43034 and also the farewell tour ran through again!

However the PAD-BTM-PAD (which you suggested would be rubbish) was top notch, quite literally!

The last run was pretty hellfire - the driver threw the throttle wide open upon leaving Reading and going into Paddington!

they should still be around for another week or 2 yet so you'll still hear the valenta for a while yet on the gwml8)
