They last week met with Network Rail and Direct Rail Services to discuss their plans moving forward, this included a tour of the line to inspect infrastructure etc.

I'm glad to see they are being taken seriously.

Yes this is good news, I first learnt of the project via youtube after watching videos of a recent DRS light engine move from Berkeley to Crewe. I was also told by someone on here that nuclear flask traffic is expected to last another 25 years?

I'm not too sure. I recall a few months ago that the frequency of nuclear flask trains from Berkeley decreased quite a lot, they used to run a few times a week, whereas now they are rather sporadic and there's an almost-weekly working from Bridgwater. I actually forgot how many power stations there are here- three, these being Oldbury, Berkeley and Hinkley A (The site of Hinkley C, as we know)
