Vacancies for Track Maintenance staff

Network Rail is now recruiting for Track Maintenance staff at it's Guildford depot.
Based under the Track Section Manager at Guildford, there are vacancies at Guildford and Wokingham.
Basic pay for a Trackman is £307 a week plus £14 Out Londer Allowance, 35 hour week over 13 weeks including 6 weekend shifts.

No previous experience neccesary although a background in safety critical work would be good {CSCS system}

It depends on how far you want to take it. I know some of the Leading Trackmen and Trackchargemen at Clapham have done/are doing a Degree in railway engineering.
In the interim, you could get qualifications within the industry, starting with Track Induction and PTS. Outside of the Rail industry, you would be certified in the use of various small plant tools
