Utterby halt in lincolnshire.

Hello..i wonder if anyone can help me. Im trying to find pictures of Utterby Halt station on the now defuct louth to grimsby line, while it was still in use.
Ive found many pictures of the site as it is now, and ive exhausted many links on the net trying to find a picture of the halt in its former glory, but to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions on where i may find said pictures. Many thanks.

Hi rebus. Thanks for the links, i appreciate the reply. I have already seen these, and while they are very helpfull, it seems any pictures of the halt while it was in use are none existant. Thats why i was hoping a forum member may have had one or two pictures of the halt in a private collection.
Ive exhausted every other avenue...Once again, many thanks rebus.

Ive also had a look for you but its looks like it rare , have you tryed ringing the nearist town's library and ask to see if there are any pictures of it in the archives section ?

I have indeed, to no avail. Infact they seemed completely uninterested in helping me. I have also tried the national railway museum, again nothing.
I have even contacted the lincs woolds railway in the hope they can help, however i have not received a reply. And so the search continues.

You would have to visit the Reference Library in person at either Grimsby or Louth to get a good feel for pictures from their archives.

Or you could try Dave Hewins in Grimsby (if he's still around? The model shop is still open under that name IIRC). He's co-authored a couple of books on the subject around Grimsby - I have Railways Around Grimsby in my collection actually and many of the pictures are from Grimsby Library or private local collections.

Try East Lincolnshire Railway by A.J Ludlam. I think that has a picture in there.

Very few pictures exist because of it's low usage and remote location.

Have you considered trying the Lincolnshire Archives? I've used them several times, and always found them to be pleasant and helpful.

I know they hold some original plans for the Sheffield & Lincolnshire Junction Railway (1845) - between Sheffield, Gainsborough (Lea Road) and Lincolnshire. This is a large, leather bound volume, and goes into microscopic detail on land ownership five to six chains either side of the proposed route.

It is not beyond the realms of possibility they hold similar plans, and possibly later photographs of Utterby Halt.

Trentside, huge thanks for your information, but since i posted the original thread ive come across the recently updated subteranica in which Uterby Halt now features. I was able to gain the information i needed. Once again, many thanks trentside :)
