Using SWT free Gold Card tickets on SWR

Hi, I think I must be one of the last few who got the 6 free tickets with my Annual Gold card last year, has anyone had any issues using them with SWR?
My journey tomorrow would be Motspur Park, change at Wimbledon for SWR to Reading, then SWR to Exeter as it would seem that the SWR Exeter service is departing from there tomorrow.
But as Barrier staff at Reading are GWR, will I have issues getting through the barriers?
I know this will take longer than GWR from Paddington to Exeter, but after a last minute change of travel plans, it would seem an ideal time to use one of the freebies, as time is not an issue.

According to SWR website, lines through Woking are shut tomorrow, so the 'normal' Waterloo to Exeter SWR service is departing / starting at Reading.

It should be absolutely fine. In the unlikely event you have problems, Customer Services should be able to sort that out fairly quickly.

You wouldn’t use a barrier or meet any staff changing platforms at Reading anyway, unless there is some sort of revenue check going on. The whole station is within the same ticketed area.
