I've got a pile of RTVs which I'd like to use to buy an Oyster monthly ticket. I know that this can only be done at certain stations. Where am I most likely to be successful?

Theoretically you can use RTVs at any Underground ticket office as long as the travel you are paying for might include National Rail. However, last time I tried to add PAYG I had lots of trouble. I ended up at the FCC ticket office at St Pancras where a very nice clerk did it with no problems.

Thanks Mike. Also is it possible to use multiple RTVs in the same transaction as I was told at Stratford (LUL) ticket office that it's one per transaction only?

Page 34 of this PDF suggests that the staff were wrong.

The step "Select each travel voucher individually and enter the voucher number(s)" clearly implies that more than one voucher can be used

I buy my annual Oyster travelcard at Chiltern ticket office at Marylebone and the staff there are generally very good and helpful.

Also if your monthly is over £150 (and valid to be used on the chiltern network) you get the season ticket perk of free travel at weekends on their network

Armed with the printout from maniacmartin (thanks) I managed to load the vouchers on at Bond Street which is a LU only ticket office. There was no queue in the middle of the day so the clerk had time to go through the procedure which he hadn't done before.

After a bit of toing and froing over the National Rail/Underground issue, the clerk double checked with his colleague and then added each of the vouchers in turn so credit to him for good customer service :)

If it helps anyone who knows about the TIS, the attached photo shows the receipt.
