Using a ranger ticket on planned service diversions

A friend of mine has asked whether (in this example) a Thames Valley Day Ranger is valid on the GWR diversions into Euston in November. This isn't something I've ever thought about before. Does anyone know if it is (or isn't!) valid?

Previous reports have suggested that the trains are unlikely to have an open pick up / set down in Reading.

It would be up to GWR to confirm whether there are easements which allow use to Euston. It clearly isn't part of the usual validity, and doesn't automatically become valid just because of the diversion.

Looks like only the first three up trains and the last one down are passenger calls at Reading. The rest stop just for staffing reasons, no passengers on or off.
